For those who don't know what a conjunction is,
it is a part of speech and one of the most important parts while speaking english. So lets find a few things about it below.
First of all we need to know the tenses very well to use any types of conjunction.
In my previous blog, I spoke about tenses and and their kinds.
Now let's learn a little about Conjunctions, their types and how to use them in spoken english.
What are Conjunctions?
Conjunctions are words that link other words, phrases or two sentences.
There are three types:
1. Coordinating
2. Subordinating
3. Correlative
Each serving its own, distinct purpose, but all of these work to bring words or sentences together.
Now, to further understand what exactly I mean by the above is to go through some examples which will help you get a better idea.
I have highlighted the conjunctions in bold and italic.
Examples:
1. My Car has a radio and a CD player.
2. Rohan wanted to drive to Mumbai, but Kevin insisted that they fly.
3. She came for the class though she has been unwell.
4. If you are coming with me to the college, call me please.
5. Neither I speak English nor Hindi. I speak only Marathi.
6. You won't pass the test unless you study.
